National Eczema Association Adds TriCalm to List of ‘Accepted’ Products

Steroid-Free Anti-Itch TriCalm Receives NEA Seal of Acceptance

San Diego, CA—Everyone knows how frustrating the itch of an insect bite can be, but imagine if that itch lasted for months or longer? Chronic itchy skin affects millions of Americans who suffer from eczema, a term for a group of medical conditions that cause the skin to become inflamed or irritated. Today, the National Eczema Association (NEA) granted TriCalm® Anti-Itch Hydrogel its Seal of Acceptance, recognizing it as a product appropriate for the care of itch related to eczema or sensitive skin.

“The National Eczema Association established the NEA Seal of Acceptance™ program as a service to individuals and the corporate community, and to encourage/recognize product innovations that provide benefits and improve the quality of life for people with eczema and sensitive skin,” said Julie Block, the CEO of the National Eczema Association. “The NEA Seal of Acceptance™ helps individuals recognize products that are suitable for the care of eczema or sensitive-skin.”

According to the NEA, more than 30 million Americans may suffer from the skin condition.

“The chronic itch associated with eczema can lead to many quality of life challenges like lack of sleep, problems concentrating and depression,” said Vishakha Gigler, a board certified dermatologist. “For patients suffering from chronic itch related to eczema, I recommend TriCalm, an over-the-counter anti-itch hydrogel that can provide much needed itch-relief.”

TriCalm is an over-the-counter anti-itch topical hydrogel that is 100 percent steroid-free and provides fast, temporary relief of minor skin irritations (e.g., insect bites; athlete’s foot; poison ivy, poison oak, or poison sumac; rashes due to soaps, detergents, cosmetics, or jewelry). TriCalm offers relief for those living with eczema without any of the unwanted potential side effects of steroid-based anti-itch creams such as skin atrophy or thinning, noticeable discoloration, stretch marks, allergic reactions, and more.

TriCalm is available at Wal-Mart, Walgreens, and CVS online and in stores nationwide.
